IN THE BEGINNING
Redhaus began where you began. With an idea. We carried that idea around with us and showed it to our friends. We played with it on the streets and threw it out of windows to see if it bounced or floated away. After a while, this idea took shape. It became a rubber ball and then a feather. Sometimes it was a robot and other times it was a prancing horse. It shook hands and began to speak. Then, one day, it seemed to settle down. It grew walls, a roof and a strange door that was always open. Sunlight streamed in through the windows. We moved in and immediately got to work.
Now, we help others bring their ideas to life. We help to spark them, give them shape. We paint their portraits and hang them on the walls. We sleep with them and bring them breakfast in bed. We write their names in the sky. Over the years, we have developed a number of good ideas. We have closets full of them in all shapes and sizes. Where do these ideas come from? At first, we thought that they came out of thin air like a cartoonish lightbulb. Then we realized, ideas are created by desire: the desire to do things better.
